1. Information We Do Not Collect

When you use Amber Animator, you are never required to create an account, log in, or provide personal details such as your name, email address, physical address, age, or location. We collect zero analytics, behavioral telemetry, or crash profiling data.

2. Device Storage & Captured Media

All photos, audio recordings, project files, and exported animations created within Amber Animator remain strictly inside the app's sandboxed local storage on your device. We do not operate remote servers or cloud storage for user media.

3. Device Hardware Permissions

To deliver stop-motion functionality, Amber Animator requests the following permissions on your device:

• Camera Access (`NSCameraUsageDescription`): Used solely to capture stop-motion animation frames within the app's viewfinder.
• Microphone Access (`NSMicrophoneUsageDescription`): Used solely when the user chooses to record voiceovers on specific animation frames.
• Photo Library Add Access (`NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription`): Used solely when the user taps "Export" to save completed movies or GIFs to the Photos app.

None of this sensor data or captured media is ever transmitted over the internet.

4. COPPA, GDPR-K & School Safeguarding Compliance

Amber Animator strictly complies with the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the UK Age-Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code), and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation for Kids (GDPR-K). Because we do not collect personal information, device identifiers, or usage telemetry, there is zero risk of child data exposure, profiling, or tracking across apps.

5. Zero Advertising Guarantee

Amber Animator contains ZERO third-party advertisements across the entire app. Unlike ad-supported apps, we never display banners, interstitials, rewarded video ads, or commercial tracking tags. Children and pupils will never be exposed to external marketing or commercial tracking.

6. In-App Purchases, Parental Gate & Zero Tracking

All optional feature unlocks are processed directly on-device using Apple's official StoreKit 2 framework. Amber Animator does not host developer authentication servers, track transaction identities, or link purchases to individual student profiles.

• No Tracking Before or After Purchase: Whether using the Free version or the Pro unlock, the app remains 100% offline with zero data collection, zero analytics, and zero device identifier tracking.
• Protected by Parental Gate: In strict compliance with Apple Kids Category rules, all purchase options and external links are locked behind an interactive mathematical Parental Gate to prevent accidental interactions by children.
• School & MDM Ready: Fully compatible with Apple School Manager and MDM volume licensing (VPP) without requiring student Apple IDs.

Our Grown-Ups section contains informational links to educator resources, support channels, and websites within the Amber educational ecosystem (sethideclercq.com, amberjr.com, amberpuppets.com, ambercodes.com). These links are located exclusively behind the Parental Gate.
